You never can expect what to find when reading these letters of my great grandfather.
My grandmother was a teacher, and married a man who spent most of his adult life as a Baptist Minister. We believe her father was an itinerate preacher thru his younger days. That is why the word “gleanings” came to mind for use in the subtitle of the book. So much wisdom he wanted to share.
